Frame Your Fabric Art
(1). First lets pick out our artwork. I like the work of Alexander Henry. He does simple things and then he does creative pieces like this one "Las Elegantes". There are so many picture opportunities in the piece.
(2). As you come to know me you will see that I like to frame artwork onto a couple of different formats, one is framed canvas.
(3). When I find a fabric piece to frame I need to select a size of frame for the picture to fit.
(4). I use a couple of different sizes of canvas frames,16" x 20", 11" x 14", and 8" x 10". I use them in portrait or landscape layout.
(5). It is difficult to lay a framed canvas over a picture to see how it fits, so I have a work around.
(6). I use a frame matte, it has two purposes, one is to see the picture that I want to frame in the opening of the matte, the other is to give me a border to allow for the extra material needed to wrap around the framed canvas.
